Abstract

Pulmonary tuberculosis (Pulmonary TB) is an infectious disease caused by infection with the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The most dominant organ of the human body attacked by tuberculosis germs is the lung area, but it can also attack other organs. The source of TB transmission is found in patients with positive Acid-Resistant Bacteria (BTA) TB by spreading germs into the air around 3000 sputum splashes at the time of coughing (droplet nuclei). Tuberculosis is a direct infectious disease caused by TB germs (Myocobacterium tuberculosis) Most TB germs attack the lungs, but can also affect other organs. ΤB in children aged 0-14 years In developing countries the number of children less than 15 years old is 40-50% of the total general population and there are about 500,000 children in the world suffering from TB each year. This senior practical activity is carried out by conducting studies by conducting interviews, and observations. From the results of the study, it was obtained that the documentation of nursing care was not optimal, the provision of health education was not optimal in the pediatric inpatient room of Prof. Dr. Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis Hospital, University of North Sumatra. So based on these problems, it is necessary to improve the nursing services provided, increase nursing care by applying the principle of caring in providing care, implementing nursing care in accordance with nursing care standards appropriately, and carrying out nursing documentation.
