Pengelolaan Pelayanan dengan Pemberdayaan Penerapan PHBS Siswa SDN 104255 pada Desa Paluh Sibaji Pantai Labu Deli Serdang

Abstract

Senior practicum is one of the courses in the professional nursing education program at the Faculty of Nursing, University of North Sumatra, aimed at enhancing the professional skills of students in applying theories and concepts acquired during the education process. The competencies achieved include the ability to provide nursing care independently or collaboratively. Nursing care provision encompasses various nursing aspects, wherein PHBS (Healthy and Clean Living Behavior) is one example of nursing care application within the community scope. PHBS remains a prevalent health issue within society, aiming to empower individuals, groups, and communities to actively contribute to public health. School-age children in the golden age stage are targeted for initiating PHBS implementation. Therefore, the objective of this research is to provide community nursing care to a group of school-age children regarding PHBS at SDN 104255 Paluh Sibaji Village, Pantai Labu, Deli Serdang. The implementation method begins with an assessment revealing a lack of knowledge regarding PHBS, resulting in a diagnosis of knowledge deficit and readiness for knowledge enhancement. The intervention provided is health education related to PHBS. Implementation proceeds as per the intervention, with evaluation indicating an increase in knowledge related to PHBS, aiming for continuation by UKS (School Health Unit) cadres to enhance health within the school environment.
