| dc.description.abstract | Background: This Final Assignment discussed the INLISLite Library Automation System at the Medan City Library and Archives Office.
Objective: The purpose of writing this Final Assignment was to understand the implementation of the INLISLite library automation system, including the use of INLISLite modules at the Medan City Library and Archives Office.
Method: Data collection for this final assignment used methods such as observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review.
Results: The results of this research concluded that the implementation of an automation system at the Medan City Library and Archives Office utilized the INLISLite software in every management activity at the library. In the execution of management at the Medan City Library and Archives Office, the application of INLISLite modules included: acquisition module, cataloging module, membership module, circulation module, locker module, survey module, guest book module, OPAC module, digital collection service module, on-site reading module, and reporting. Based on the INLISLite modules at the Medan City Library and Archives Office, several modules had not yet been implemented, such as the Locker module, Survey module, and On-site Reading service. The reason for the non-implementation of these modules was that the Medan City Library and Archives Office was still working on developing these modules so that activities at the library could be well-organized.
Conclusion: The implementation of INLISLite modules at the Medan City Library and Archives Office faces challenges such as hardware issues like server downtime and frequent Wi-Fi outages. As a solution to these problems, the Medan City Library and Archives Office encourages visitors to wait for Wi-Fi repairs. | en_US |
