Diabetes mellitus is a disease caused by metabolic disorders that occur in pancreatic organs characterized by increased blood sugar or often referred to as hyperglycemia. . Diabetes self -care behavior is the main pillar in minimizing the risk of microvascular complications, macrovascular and neuropathy as well as worsening chronic conditions. This study aims to manage nursing care in patients with diabetes mellitus with diabetes self -care education as a diabetes self -care intervention. The method used is a case study with a descriptive single case design with the number of clients one person. The instrument used is Self Care Diabetes Mellitus based on King’s Model. Data collection with a nursing care approach consisting of assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation and evaluation through interviews, observation, distribution of questionnaires and examination of blood glucose levels. Nursing care is done to control blood sugar levels and increase client knowledge about diabetes mellitus and self -care diabetes using leaflet education, posters, modules and videos. The results show that the client's blood glucose level has decreased from 429 mg/dL to 330 mg/dl, the client's condition is more stable, signs and symptoms such as fatigue and often thirst reduced and the client is able to do diabetic self care, namely compliance with diet and diet, exercise physical such as foot exercises and routine blood sugar levels.
