dc.description.abstractGouty arthritis is a joint disease caused by high uric acid in the blood. High uric acid levels in the blood exceed normal limits, namely normal uric acid levels in women: 2.6 - 6 mg/dl, and in men 3 - 7 mg/dl, causing a buildup of uric acid in the joints and other organs. Based on data from the World Health Organization, the prevalence of gouty arthritis in the world is 34.2%. The main factor of Gout arthritis is eating foods that contain excessive purine substances. The elderly are the age group that suffers the most from Gouty Arthritis. The purpose of this senior practice is to manage nursing care carried out in 1 patient. The method used is a case study approach for 3 weeks starting from July 03-29, 2024. The main problems in patients with gouty arthritis are impaired physical mobility and knowledge deficits. The implementation carried out is teaching ergonomic exercises and providing health education. The results of the implementation obtained reduced numbness, stiffness in the legs and hands after doing ergonomic exercises 3 times in 1 week. Patients also reduce food consumption containing purine substances.en_US
