Pengelolaan Asuhan Keperawatan pada Klien Hipertensi melalui Edukasi Kompres Hangat dan Diet Hipertensi di Kelurahan Pangkalan Mansyur Kecamatan Medan Johor

Abstract

Hypertension is a condition where the systolic pressure is ˃ 140 mmHg and the diastolic pressure is ˃ 90 mmHg, where the pressure increases beyond normal limits. Overcoming hypertension can be done with pharmacological and non- pharmacological treatment. The aim of this senior practicum is to apply nursing theories and concepts, namely providing education regarding the hypertension diet to clients with hypertension. Care began on 22 May – 1 June 2024 for 2 managed patients suffering from hypertension in the sub-district of Basis Mansyur by providing education about hypertension, education on hypertension diet and non-pharmacological pain management, namely warm compresses for complaints of pain in the nape of the neck or back of the head of the client. . The results obtained after nursing care were carried out, the client responded very well and enthusiastically when given education about the hypertension diet and warm compresses. The client understands the salt diet for hypertension sufferers and understands how to do a warm compress and its benefits, the client is able and able to carry out the warm compress technique independently.
