Holistic Care Based Nursing Care Management in Mrs. S Clients with Major Nursing Problems Impaired Physical Mobility in Medan Johor District
Abstract
Stroke is a condition that occurs due to disruption of blood flow to the brain which causes damage to brain tissue. One of the nursing problems that commonly occurs in stroke patients is impaired physical mobility. Holistic care-based nursing care for stroke patients with impaired physical mobility includes various interventions, such as physical exercise, occupational therapy, psychosocial support, and education for patients and families. Previous studies have shown that implementing holistic care-based nursing care can provide positive results for stroke patients. The purpose of this writing is to increase students' knowledge and abilities regarding holistic care-based nursing care for stroke patients with the main nursing problem: impaired physical mobility at the individual, family and group level. The results of the study carried out through interviews were Mrs. After a stroke, S experienced nursing problems, impaired physical mobility. Weakness in the right limb made Mrs. S is not optimal in carrying out daily activities. Nurses provide intervention on the main nursing problem, namely helping with mobilization, one of which is training active muscle range of motion (ROM). Based on the nursing care process that has been carried out, it can be concluded that active muscle range of motion (ROM) training is quite effective in being applied as a nursing care process for clients with nursing problems with impaired physical mobility, because this exercise can maintain or improve the ability to move joints normally and completely. to increase muscle mass and tone.
