Analisis Minat Anak Petani Menjadi Petani (Studi Kasus : Desa Semangat Gunung, Kecamatan Merdeka, Kabupaten Karo)

Abstract

The aim of the study is to analyze how farmers' children's interest in becoming farmers in Semangat Gunung Village and to analyse the influence of perceptions, farm parents' income, family environment, community environment, education, the size of parents' land and the intensity of helping parents on farmers 'child interest to be farmers. The data analysis methods performed in the research are descriptive analysis and binary logistic regression. The results of this study showed that the interest of farmers' children in becoming farmers in this study was at the level of the dominant category of uninterested, which is 69%, while the remaining 31% are interested in being farmers. In part, the family environment, the community environment, and the intensity of helping parents in farming have significant influences on the interest of farmers' children in being farmers, while perceptions, farm parents' incomes, education and parents' land size have no significant influence on farmers’ children's interests in being farmers.
