PNM Mekaar Savings and Loan Program in The Development of Small and Micro Enterprises Medium (UMKM) in Parbubu Village, Tarutung District
Abstract
PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) Mekaar (Fostering a Prosperous Family
Economy) is a group based capital service aimed at underprivileged women who
are micro business activists, whether they want to start a new business or who
already have a business and want to develop their business. This research aims to
analyze the implementation of th e Mekaar Ultra Micro Financing Program (PNM)
in the development of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Parbubu
Village, Tarutung District. This research uses a qualitative method with a case
study approach. Data was collected through in depth i nterviews with MSME
players who are members of the Mekaar program, as well as direct observation of
their business activities. The research results show that PNM Mekaar has a
significant impact on the business development of MSME actors in Parbubu
Village. This program not only provides easy access to capital, but also provides
assistance and training that helps micro entrepreneurs manage finances and
improve skills. The PNM Mekaar program was successful in its implementation in
accordance with business dev elopment indicators (Agustina, 2006), namely
increasing the income of MSME players, improving the quality of human
resources, increasing the number of customers and improving product quality.
