Analisis Pengaruh Ekspor Sarang Burung Walet terhadap Pertumbuhan Ekonomi Negara Pengekspor Besar

Abstract

Swallow's nest is one of the agricultural commodities with a great potential for development, and thus it has the potency to drive economic growth in major exporting countries. The objectives of this research are: 1) To analyze the impact of swallow's nest exports to the economic growth of major exporting countries from the demand side, and 2) To analyze the impact of swallow's nest exports to the economic growth of major exporting countries from the supply side. The data analyzed by using the Generalized Least Squares (GLS) method on panel data with an aggregate demand model and an aggregate production function model. The data used is secondary data in the form of time series data from 2001 2021 and cross sectional data from Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia. The independent variables in this study consist of total exports of all commodities per capita, per capita income, highly educated labor, less educated labor, investment, government expenditure, net export of swallow's nests, and net export of animal based on agricultural commodities. The results of the analysis show that in both the demand side and supply side models, swallow's nest exports have a positive and significant impact on the economic growth of major exporting countries.
