dc.description.abstract | This study aims to determine the Socio-Economic Impact Analysis of Drainage Development (Case Study in Jalan Jamin Ginting, Titi Rante Village). Drainage development is an important aspect of urban and rural water management, but if not designed or managed properly, it can have a negative impact on the social and economic aspects of the surrounding community. Drainage development activities, especially those that are large-scale or carried out without careful planning, can disrupt various social and economic activities of the local community such as buying and selling activities and also communication access that is cut off due to this development. This research is important to know how to analyze the socio-economic impact of drainage development (case study in Jalan Jamin Ginting, Titi Rante Village).
This research uses descriptive research methods with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observation, secondary data, documentation and literature study. Furthermore, this research uses indicators of the Socio-Economic Impact Analysis Model of Development Policy by (Jumiati, 2016) in the form of Changes in Livelihoods, Employment Opportunities, Social Interactions, Environmental Conditions. research informants consist of the Community, Entrepreneurs who are on Jamin Ginting Street, Titi Rante Village. Implementation of Drainage Development by Water Resources Office of Bina Marga Bina Konstruksi Medan City.
The results of this study indicate that the analysis of the socio-economic impact of drainage development (case study on Jalan Jamin Ginting, Titi Rante Village), has a negative impact on the community around the drainage development, especially those on Jalan Jamin Ginting, Titi Rante Village, Starting from changes in livelihoods, employment opportunities, social interactions, to environmental conditions that have not yet had a positive impact and prospered the community around drainage development, then on Regulations that have not been regulated as specifically as possible about drainage development guidelines, Human Resources that are not qualified enough for timely development implementation, Institutions that still do not synergize in development so that there is still damage that has not been repaired after the construction period has been completed, Financials that have not been realized properly, so there are indications of development work that does not match the budget, to the use of technology that is not modern, so that the development process must run very long. | en_US |
