dc.description.abstract | This research is motivated by the low accessibility of community information on the Langkat Regency e-market website. Although this website aims to support the local economy, many people have not utilized it optimally. In carrying out the strategy, the agency still experiences problems such as the lack of socialization, as well as technical constraints on the website such as system instability, security ranges against cyber attacks, and limited information coverage. This indicates that e-markets require a comprehensive strategic approach to increase usage among the community. This research uses strategy indicators from Geoff Mulgan (2009), namely, purpose, environment, direction, action and learning.
The research method used is descriptive qualitative. With research informants, the Head of the Department of Industry and Trade of Langkat Regency, the Head of the trade sector, the member in charge of the e-market, businesses that join the e-market, and the people of Langkat Regency. Data collected through primary and secondary data with data collection techniques through observation, documentation and interviews. Data validity techniques used are triangulation between researchers and triangulation of data sources.
The results showed that the strategy carried out was not optimal in improving information accessibility through the e-market website. Low community participation and lack of related socialization in introducing this program thoroughly. Making not many people know the existence of this e-market, so its use is still limited. Ease of access is also a problem, some users find that e-markets are difficult to access, both in terms of technical and less user-friendly appearance. The e-market website has not been designed to consider special needs, such as ease of navigation for people with disabilities and as a result the existing accessibility does not meet the objectives that should be enjoyed by all levels of society. | en_US |
