Based on the results of research regarding the neutrality of the TNI's role in the General Election, it can be concluded that the TNI, as the main component of national defense, carries out its duties in accordance with the mandate regulated in TNI Law Number 34 of 2004. One of the main tasks of the TNI, apart from carrying out defense functions in a war situation, it is to help the government by maintaining a neutral attitude and not taking sides towards any of the candidates in the General Election. Even though the TNI does not side with any candidate, they still follow the latest information regarding the candidates in the election. This is done solely because the TNI needs to understand the priorities and vision of prospective state leaders to ensure their readiness to support the policies of the elected government in the future, in accordance with their responsibilities as guardians of national stability and security.
