Peran Komisi Pemilihan Umum Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota dalam Memberikan Pendidikan Politik terhadap Pemilih Pemula pada Pemilihan Umum 2024

Abstract

This research focuses on the role of the Lima Puluh Kota Regency General Election Commission in providing political education to novice voters in the 2024 general election. This research aims to find out how the role of the Lima Puluh Kota Regency KPU in providing and seeking political education to novice voters in the 2024 General Election carried out by the KPU of Lima Puluh Kota Regency in increasing the participation and political understanding of novice voters. The political education provided by the KPU of Lima Puluh Kota Regency went well with the increasing participation of novice voters in the 2024 elections. This research method uses qualitative research where researchers use a descriptive approach with data collection methods using interviews, observation and documentation. The result of this research is that the Lima Puluh Kota Regency KPU provides political education to novice voters with an approach that is in accordance with the characteristics of voters in each nagari or region, so that the cultivation of political and electoral values can be carried out properly and the participation of novice voters in general elections in Lima Puluh Kota Regency increases.
