Analisis Usaha Pembibitan Persilangan Domba Dorper dengan Domba Lokal di Peternakan Domba Sakinah Aqiqah

Abstract

Sakinah Aqiqah Sheep Farm is a well-known sheep farming business in Medan city that develops a business with a cross breeding system of dorper sheep with local sheep. This study aims to determine the business feasibility and breeding strategy of crossing dorper sheep with local sheep at Sakinah Aqiqah sheep farm. The research was conducted starting in September 2022. The data analysis method uses qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis which is then through the projection analysis approach and SWOT analysis. The results of the study based on financial and non-financial analysis show that the business of crossbreeding dorper sheep with local sheep at Sakinah Aqiqah sheep farm is feasible to run, in accordance with investment criteria such as R/C> 1, management aspects and marketing aspects so it is feasible to run. The strategy obtained is the S-O strategy which means utilizing strengths and opportunities for business development, especially from marketing to export.
