Pertumbuhan dan Biologi Reproduksi Ikan Lidah (Cynoglossus lingua) yang Didaratkan di Tempat Pendaratan Ikan (TPI) Gabion Belawan Provinsi Sumatera Utara
Growth and Reproductive Biology of Tongue Fish (Cynoglossus lingua) Landed at the Gabion Belawan Fish Landing Site (TPI), North Sumatra Province
Abstract
One of the fish that is landed at the Gabion Fish Landing Site in Belawan
that is economically useful is the tonguefish. The availability and sustainability of
tonguefish resources in Belawan waters are thought to be impacted by the salted
fish industry's use of small Tongue fish and the strong public demand in the
product. The objectives of this study are to ascertain the growth patterns,
mortality, and exploitation rates, as well as the reproductive biology, of
tonguefish that land at TPI Gabion, Belawan. In order to ensure that the samples
obtained accurately represented the fish population under study, this research
employed a random purposive sampling technique. Tongue fish data on growth,
reproductive biology, fish mortality, and exploitation rates were analyzed. The
findings demonstrated that tongue fish had a flat body shape and a negative
allometric growth trend. Fish have a total mortality rate (Z) of 1.45 and an
exploitation rate (E) of 0.77. Results in fish reproductive biology included an
uneven sex ratio, a 1.62% average IKG value, a partial spawner spawning
pattern, a fecundity of 143–20,782 eggs, a Lm value of 198.968 mm for the female
tonguefish, and a and a Lc value for the male tonguefish. 242.48 mm in females
and 299.73 mm in males.
