Strategi Rekrutmen Partai PDI-Perjuangan DPC Kota Medan pada Pemilihan Legilatif Tahun 2024

Abstract

Political party recruitment seeks to capture and find party cadres who are considered able to exercise power well, especially if elected as council members in general elections. The aim of this research is to look at the Medan City PDI Perjuangan strategy in recruiting for the 2024 Medan City Legislative Election. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of the research explain that the PDI Perjuangan in its strategy has a Grand Design for the 2024 Medan City Legislative Election which includes: type of party recruitment (management, cadres and members), strength of the party machine, and party programs. Meanwhile, the analysis of the recruitment pattern of the PDI- Perjuangan party in the 2024 Medan city legislative election is in accordance with Pippa Norris's theory which explains in general the political recruitment process includes the stages of certification, nomination (nomination), and the election process.
