As the largest oil producer in the world, Saudi Arabia is certainly a concern for many people because of its abundant oil. Oil has been a source of income and the backbone of the Saudi Arabian economy for several years, but changes in political economy occurred during the reign of King Salman which were stated in Vision 2030 initiated by Crown Prince Mommed bin Salman. Vision 2030 in the economic sector emphasizes that the country's income sources should not only depend on oil. This is the reason for the research, the research technique uses a descriptive qualitative method with the aim of finding out how the political economic strategy of Saudi Arabia has changed. The political economic strategy taken by Saudi Arabia in reducing dependence on oil is to build international-scale tourist attractions, these tourist attractions, entertainment are still being built. Opening up foreign tourism and changing several regulations such as allowing hotel stays without marriage ties, and granting holiday visas in Saudi Arabia. In addition, the kingdom has made political policies in the field of sports that are open to women and recruiting top world football players to join Saudi Arabian football clubs. And political policies in the field of entertainment on an international scale to increase foreign tourist visits as a source of state income other than oil.
