Abstract
The research entitled Organizational Communication Patterns Between and Subordinates in Improving Member Performance at the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) North Sumatra aims to analyze organizational communication patterns between leaders and subordinates in improving employee performance at the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) North Sumatra. This research uses Organizational Communication theory, Human Relations Theory, with qualitative descriptive research methods that focus on communication dynamics at MUI. The research results show that communication at the North Sumatra MUI is carried out with the principles of openness and equality, where meetings and discussions are the main means of ensuring the same understanding of the goals and duties of each member. The academic benefit of this research is that it contributes to research knowledge in the field of Communication Science, especially in the context of organizational communication. Theoretically, the research results are expected to contribute to the development of the theory used in this research, as well as enrich the material and development of Communication Science. Practically, this research is expected to increase understanding of organizational communication applied at the North Sumatra MUI, as well as provide knowledge for North Sumatra University students in the world of work. In conclusion, an open and equal communication pattern between leaders and subordinates at the North Sumatra MUI plays an important role in improving employee performance and achieving organizational goals.
