dc.description.abstractA large and qualified population of productive age can act as a source of labor and economic actors that can accelerate the achievement of development goals. However, problems will arise if there is an imbalance between supply and demand for labor. In this study, it will be seen how far the influence of several factors such as wages, work preferences, job vacancy information and expertise that can affect the length of job search of educated workers in Medan City. This type of research is an associative quantitative research. The sample in this study was taken using probability sampling with simple random sampling technique, found as many as 100 respondents who became the sample of this study. The data analysis technique used is Structural Equation Model (SEM) Partial Least Square (PLS) with the help of SmartPLS software. The results of this study indicate that wages have a significant influence on the length of job search in Medan City. Job preference has a significant influence on the length of job search in Medan City. Job vacancy information has a significant influence on the length of job search in Medan City and expertise does not have a significant influence on the length of job search in Medan City.en_US
