Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Ekspor Nikel di Indonesia

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries that has considerable mineral and energy potential, one of which is nickel. The amount of nickel potential owned, making Indonesia a country that has a comparative advantage in the availability of nickel natural resources. This will be an opportunity for Indonesia to increase its exports to the international market. This study aims to determine the factors that affect Indonesia's nickel exports. The variables that influence it are the price of Indonesian nickel, Indonesian nickel production, and the exchange rate of the rupiah against the US dollar. The data used in this study are time series data from 1992-2022 and are quantitative in nature. The analysis method is the Error Correction Model (ECM) whose purpose is to determine the short-term and long-term effects of variables. The results showed that the price variable has a significant and positive effect in the short and long term, the production variable has a significant and positive effect in the short term and has no significant effect in the long term, and the rupiah exchange rate variable has no significant effect in the short term and has a significant and positive effect in the long term.
