Pemanfaatan Modal Sosial oleh Kader Partai Politik (Studi Kasus Partai Aceh di Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang)

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine and analyze the utilization of social capital by Partai Aceh cadres to increase vote gairs during elections in Aceh Tamiang. The data collection method used in this research is a qualitative approach with a descriptive study. The data gathered are based on the experiences of Partai Aceh cadres in leveraging social capital to enhance electoral outcomes in Aceh Tamiang. The results show that cadres who effectively utilize social capital gain more support than those who do not fully take advantage of it during the legislative elections in Aceh Tamiang. There are four dimensions of social capital utilization identified for Partai Aceh cadres: First, leveraging social networks as social capital to easily and exclusively access information. Second, using trust and expectations as resources for future benefits. Third, utilizing values and norms as social capital to collaborate and share resources. Fourth, engaging communities as social capital, where active involvement in social organizations strengthens networks and boosts solidarity. The research found that the public recognizes cadres with strong social capital more than those who rely solely on economic capital and political strategies. Successfully utilizing social capital leads to positive results, while failure to do so results in negative outcomes in terms of electoral vote gains in Aceh Tamiang.
