Abstract

This research aims to determine the level of role of the village government in empowering farmer groups and to determine the relationship between the role of the village government in empowering farmer groups to meet the needs for farming facilities and infrastructure in Kampung Mudik Village, Barus District, Central Tapanuli Regency. The analytical method used is the Spearman rank correlation test. The results of this research indicate that the level of role of the village government in empowering farmer groups to meet the needs for farming facilities and infrastructure in Kampung Mudik Village, Barus District, Central Tapanuli Regency is relatively high with a value of 77%. As well as the relationship between the role of the village government as Organizer, Facilitator and Innovator in empowering farmer groups, there is a significant relationship. This shows that the high or low level of role of the village government is related to the high or low level of empowerment of farmer groups in Kampung Mudik Village.
