Analisis Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Keputusan Petani dalam Melakukan Usahatani Jagung (Zea mays L.) (Kasus : Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan, Kabupaten Deli Serdang)

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze what factors influenced farmers in making decisions about corn farming in Percut Sei Tuan Subdistrict and how farmers made decisions about doing this corn farming. The analytical method used research area is determined purposively or intentionally. The analytical method used to analyze problem 1 was a binary logistic regression method and the data analysis method used to analyze problem 2 was descriptive method. The results showed that the factor that most influenced corn farmers in making corn farming decisions was the ease of corn farming, which had a real positive influence, and it was known that farmers made decisions to do corn farming through three stages, namely, the knowledge stage which made farmers aware of activities corn cultivation in the area where they live, the persuasion stage that made farmers interested in doing or not doing corn farming, as well as the decision stage that made farmers decide to do farming by considering various positive things and also what are the advantages in doing corn farming.
