dc.description.abstract | Agroforestry is a multifunctional landscape system that has long been
known and practiced by people in Balige District in farming as a form of
commu nity plantation. However, its management is still carried out extensively so
that knowledge of the characteristics of agroforestry is needed in terms of
increasing agricultural yields. The purpose of this study was to identify types of
agroforestry and eva luate soil chemical properties in each type of agroforestry
system and on monoculture agricultural land and forest land in Balige District,
Toba Regency. This study took 7 coordinate points of the research location using
survey method with purposive sampli ng technique. Soil sample analysis was
carried out using the parameters of N total, P available, K total, pH, CEC C
organic and C/N soil . Then the results of the study were categorized based on the
criteria of soil chemical properties by the Bogor Soil Re search Center, 2009. The
results showed that there are 3 types of agroforestry systems in Balige District,
namely agrosilviculture, agrosilvopastura and agrosilvofishry with sub type PBI
(Food, Fruit, Industry), PIT (Food, Industry, Livestock), PIH (Food, Industry,
Horticulture) and PIK (Food, Industry, Pond). Criteria for soil chemical
properties in agroforestry land use type agrosilvicult ure sub type PIH (Food,
Industry, Horticulture) showed better results than monoculture and forest land use
with the mai n commodities of corn, avocado, palm and bamboo. | en_US |
