Status Hara Makro N, P, K dan Hubungannya terhadap Kadar Gula Buah Jeruk pada Beberapa Kecamatan di Kabupaten Karo
Macro Nutrient Status N, P, K and Its Relationship to Sugar Content of Orange Fruits in Several Districts in Karo Regency
Abstract
Orange plants are one of the leading fruit commodities in Karo Regency. Karo Regency is one of the orange production centers in North Sumatera with a production of 448,211 tons or 18.67% of the total national orange production. One of the problems in orange commodities is a decrease in quality and quantity. This can happen because the orange cultivation technique is not optimal so that it makes a difference in the taste of the orange. This study aims to evaluate the nutrient status of N, P, and K and their correlation on the sugar content of orange fruits in Karo Regency. This study uses a survey method by taking 30 soil samples and orange fruits as research materials. This research was carried out from March 2024 to June 2024. This research was carried out in Barusjahe, Dolat Rayat, Tiga Panah, and Merek. The results showed that the N-total criteria in each research location with medium to very high status. The P-available criteria of land have a variety of statuses ranging from very low to high. Criteria K-exchange is mostly with high status. The criteria for the level of sugar content of orange fruits are mostly at the medium criteria. The relationship of multiple linear regression follows the equation 7.826 + 1.536N-total + 0.013P-available – 0.093K-exchange and the relationship between N, P, and K to sugar content is very low with an R2 value of 0.098. Simultaneously, N-total, P-available, and K-exchange had no effect on the sugar content of orange fruits.
