The social environment is a place where individuals interact and do things together with each other and the environment, the social environment can influence shopping behavior, especially for example students where these students are groups of children with the same level of maturity and apply the principles of living together and influencing each other to group members. This study aims to analyze the influence of the social environment that affects student shopping behavior at the Faculty of Vocational Studies, University of North Sumatra. The method in this study is quantitative by distributing questionnaires via google form. The contents of the questionnaire are statements about the influence of the social environment on student shopping behavior. The technique used is purposive sampling with the provisions of students of the Faculty of Vocational Studies, University of North Sumatra. The results in this study indicate that the social environment has an influence on student shopping behavior at the Faculty of Vocational Studies, University of North Sumatra.
