Kantong semar (Nepenthes ampullaria Jack.) is one of the ornamental plants that is often found in forest areas. Kantong Semar plant is one of the trending plants among ornamental plant enthusiasts and does not rule out the possibility of this plant having high economic value, because this plant has a variety of shapes and colours of bags. Kantong semar have various benefits and potentials. The benefits and potential include; biological control of insects, conventionally versatile plants, unique ornamental plants because from the tip of the leaves can appear bags, medicinal plants, and anti-fungal. This study aims to determine the effect of Riboflavin and BAP and their interaction on the multiplication of kantong semar shoots. This research was conducted at the Alifa Agriculture Research Centre (ALIFA-ARC) Tissue Culture Laboratory, Medan from February 2023 to May 2023. This study tested in a 2-factor totally randomized design with 4 replications, namely riboflavin concentration (0 mg/l, 0.5 mg/l, 1 mg/l, 1.5 mg/l) and BAP (0 mg/l, 0.5 mg/l, 1 mg/l, 1.5 mg/l). The parameters observed were the percentage of living explants, plant height, number of leaves, and number of shoots. The results showed that the BAP treatment had a significant effect on the number of leaves and plant height parameters. Riboflavin concentration did not significantly affect the parameters of the number of leaves and plant height but significantly affected the parameter of the number of shoots. The interaction of the two treatments had no significant effect on all parameters. The combination of riboflavin 1.5 mg/l and BAP 1.5 mg/l tended to produce the highest number of shoots, although it was not statistically significantly different from all other combinations.
