dc.description.abstract | This study aims to determine the results of the morphological characteristics and genetic diversity of local cultivars of Toba big red beans in the highlands. This research was conducted in an open field on Jamin Ginting road Sempajaya, Berastagi District, Karo Regency, North Sumatra. This research was conducted from August to October 2023. The research method used is a randomized group design (RAK) with 1 factor consisting of 3 replications. In the red bean plants tested, six parameters showed a real effect, namely leaflet length, number of seeds per pod, seed weight per plant, hypocotyl length, plant height, number of pods per plant and four parameters that showed no real effect, namely seed size, pod length, stem diameter, and dry weight of 100 seeds. Toba local cultivar red bean plants have the closest kinship based on the Dendogram is cultivar TA 3 (Laguboti District 3) with cultivar TC 2 (Ajibata District 2) and Toba local cultivar red bean plants have the farthest kinship based on the Dendogram is TC 1 (Ajibata District 1) cultivar with other cultivars. | en_US |
