The Relationship Between Bedtime Procrastination and Subjective Well-Being in High School Students in Medan City

This study aims to determine whether there is a role of bedtime procrastination to subjective well-being in senior high school students in Medan city. The sample in this study was 390 students who were taken using the accidental sampling method. The type of this research is quantitative research with simple linear regression analysis techniques. Data collection uses a Likert scale. Bedtime procrastination was measured using bedtime procrastination scale by Kroese, De Ridder, Evers, Adriaanse (2014) while subjective well-being was measures by satisfaction with life scale (SWLS) by Diener, Emmons, Larsen, Griffin (1985) and positive and negative affect schedule (PANAS) by Watson, Clark, Tellegen (1988). The result showed a p value of .004 (p < .05) with a coefficient of determination (R2) of .27. This indicates that there is a significant positive role between bedtime procrastination variable and subjective well-being with a role contribution of 2.7%.
