Analysis of Factors Affecting the Volume of Indonesian Tobacco Exports to Major Export Destination Countries (Under the guidance of RIANTRI BARUS as Supervisor and TAVI SUPRIANA as Examiner). Tobacco is one of Indonesia’s export commodities. Until 2022 Indonesian tobacco exports have covered 62 countries in the world. Among these 62 countries, there are 5 main destination countries for Indonesian tobacco exports, namely; Dominican Republic, Singapore, United States, Sri Lanka and Belgium. One of the influences on exports is distance or what is known as the gravity model. The gravity model itself includes the element of space in its analysis in the form of distance between the two regions which can also be measured by the transportation costs required to cover the distance. The greater the distance between countries, the lower the trade volume of those countries and vice versa. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that affect the volume of Indonesian tobacco exports to major export destinations. The data used in this study are time series data in annual form from 2002 to 2021. The analytical tool used in this research is panel data regression analysis (pooled data) with the Gravity Model. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the main destination countries and the Exchange Rate (NT) have a positive and significant effect on Indonesian tobacco exports. Meanwhile, Tobacco Price (H) and Trade Cost (BP) have a negative and insignificant effect on Indonesian tobacco exports.
