The productivity of Chinese cabbage in Barusjahe Regency in 2023 was 18.57 tons/ha, while the potential production of Chinese cabbage reached 25–35 tons/ha. The cause is the inefficient use of production factors. It is necessary to improve production and productivity by optimizing the use of production factors efficiently. This study aims to analyze the production factors that affect the productivity of Chinese cabbage farming (labor, seeds, organic fertilizer, NPK fertilizer, fungicides, and insecticides) and to identify the productivity phase. The analysis method used in this study is the Cobb-Douglas production function and descriptive analysis. The results of the analysis show that simultaneously, labor, seeds, organic fertilizer, NPK fertilizer, fungicides, and insecticides significantly affect Chinese cabbage productivity. Partially, seeds (X2), organic fertilizer (X3), NPK fertilizer (X4), and fungicides (X5) have a significant effect on productivity, while labor (X1) and insecticides (X6) do not significantly affect Chinese cabbage productivity. The productivity phase of Chinese cabbage shows that labor, seeds, organic fertilizer, NPK fertilizer, fungicides, and insecticides are in the Diminishing Returns to Scale phase.en_US
