The decline in women's electability in legislative institutions in Indonesia is still an interesting study to study. One institution that has problems with the decline in women's electability is the Serdang Bedagai Regional People's Representative Council. The existence of affirmative action as stated in Law Number 7 of 2017 in elections has still not been able to increase the number of women elected in legislative institutions. In fact, the number of women's electability numbers is decreasing from year to year and in the 2024 election the number of women's electability in the Serdang Bedagai DPRD will be the lowest figure compared to the previous election. This research uses research methods resulting from direct interviews or literature studies, which contain theories that are relevant to the research problems. The results of the research show that the factors that influence the low number of women elected in the Serdang Bedagai Regency DPRD in 2024 are weak regulations, patriarchal culture, limited social networks, lack of political education, imbalance in quality and quantity, attitudes and limited resources. finances owned by female legislative candidates. So there needs to be a commitment to cadre cadres of female legislative candidates to produce quality cadres and help increase the representation of 30% of female legislative members in the 2024 elections in Serdang Bedagai Regency.
