BLM is not only a symbol of resistance against racial discrimination, but also encourages socio-political change by raising global public awareness of the issue of structural racism. In addition, this movement shows how social media plays an important role in mass mobilization and the spread of social justice messages. This study concludes that BLM has succeeded in challenging an unfair system of power and has had a significant impact on public policy in the United States. This movement also opens up space for a broader discourse on racism and racial equality in various countries.
