| dc.description.abstract | Aceh as one of the provinces in Indonesia has a relatively high TFR. According to the results of the 2010 Population Census, the TFR of Acehy was 279, in 2020 the Population Census results decreased slightly, reaching a value of 2.42. Considering that the TFR value of Aceh is still far from the national TFR target of 2.1, researchers are interested in conducting research to find out what factors affect fertility in the region.
The purpose of this study is to determine how the factors of wife’s years of education, family income, wife’s first marriage age, use of birth control and wife’s working status affect fertility. This study was conducted partially, i.e. measuring the partial relationship between each independent variable which includes length of education, family income, age at first marriage, use of birth control and wife’s working status with the dependent variable, namely fertility.
This study used multiple linear regression analysis model with data analyzed using SPSS software program. The results of this study indicate that the variable of wife’s length of education has a significant effect and is negative related to fertility, the variable of family income has a significant effect and is negative related to fertility, the variable of wife’s first marriage age has a significant effect and is negative related to fertility, the variable use of birth control has significant effect but is negative related to fertility while the variable of wife’s working status has a significant effect and is negative related to fertility. | en_US |
