    Abstract
Lip prints are one of the identification methods in forensic odontology. Blood is also one type of valuable physical evidence that can be found at a crime scene. Blood collected from victims and suspects plays an important role in the identification and investigation of criminal cases. Both lip prints and blood types are biological characteristics determined by genetic factors. Aim: to determine the distribution, frequency of dominant lip print patterns in each quadrant, dominant, and the relationship between lip print patterns based on Suzuki and Tsuchihashi classification with ABO blood type. Methods: observational analytic with crossectional design. Lip prints were taken using the lipstick method on 44 samples consisting of 11 subjects of blood group A+, 11 subjects of blood group B+, 11 subjects of blood group AB+, and 11 subjects of blood group O+. The lip prints were divided into four quadrants, the lip print patterns were observed based on Suzuki and Tsuchihashi's classification. Results: the dominant lip print pattern of quadrant I in subjects of blood type A+, B+, AB+, O+ is mostly Type II. The dominant lipprint pattern of quadrant II in subjects of blood type A+, B+, AB+, O+ is mostly Type II. The dominant lip print pattern of quadrant III in the subject of blood type A+, B+, AB+, O+ is mostly Type II. The dominant lip print pattern of quadrant IV in the subject of blood type A+, B+, AB+, O+ is mostly Type II. There is no significant relationship between the pattern of prints with ABO blood type. Conclusion: there is no relationship between lip print pattern and ABO blood type, this is may due to differences in genetic inheritance in lip prints and blood types.
