Taman Ria Medan Tahun 1971-2004

Abstract

This research was written to find out the general picture of the city Medan, development of Taman Ria in Medan City in 1971 – 2004, impact Taman Ria in Medan City 1971 – 2004. Methods used in This research is a historical method that begins with selecting a topic, heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. Heuristics are collections historical data sources through field studies and literature studies. Criticism is stages carried out after collecting sources both internal and external external. Interpretation is the stage carried out to obtain conclusion. Historiography is the final stage in writing history. The history of the beginning of the development of the city of Medan is the founding of a small village called "Medan Putri". Taman Ria used to be very beautiful busy but closed due to the influence of the times. Development The era that created Taman Ria was in decline so that visitors decrease. This Ria Park is decreasing in number of visitors experienced a decline. Taman Ria on Jalan Gatot Subroto is a source of pride Medan residents from the 70s to early 2000s. Officially opened by the Mayor of Medan Sjoekarni's 10th in 1971. Taman Ria Medan was quite popular until the end 1990's. Before it was closed, there were many artists from the capital city of Jakarta in the past performing at Taman Ria Medan.
