The Role of Work Environment in Improving Employee Performance at PT Bank Mandiri KCP Universitas Sumatera Utara
Abstract
Background: Employee performance plays a crucial role in achieving organizational goals, especially in today's highly competitive business environment. The work environment, both physical and non-physical, affects performance directly or indirectly.
Objective: This study aims to explore the impact of physical and non-physical work environments on employee performance at Bank Mandiri KCP Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), a strategic branch serving the academic community and surrounding society.
Method: A survey method, including structured interviews and questionnaires, was used to collect data from 15 employees of Bank Mandiri KCP USU.
Results: Overall, this study shows that a supportive physical and non-physical work environment at Bank Mandiri KCP USU has a significantly positive impact on employee performance. However, areas such as communication and work-life balance still need improvement to maintain optimal performance and job satisfaction.
Conclusion: The physical and non-physical work environment at Bank Mandiri KCP USU is generally excellent, though further improvements are required in some areas.
